Wine

Henschke Keyneton Euphonium is drawn from Barossa and Eden Valley vineyards, some over 50 years old. It includes fruit from Cyril Henschke's original 1960s plantings.

It is named in honour of the Henschke Family Band, founded in 1888 by Paul Gotthard Henschke. The band had a euphonium – a large brass wind instrument made in Germany in the late 19th century.

The wine is mostly Shiraz with Cabernet Sauvignon and smaller amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It matures for 18 months in new and seasoned French and American oak before blending and bottling.

Deep dark ruby, Henschke Keyneton Euphonium has red fruit flavours, fine boned structure, velvety tannins and a lasting finish. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
